"[A] mind forever Voyaging through strange seas of Thought, alone."
- William Wordsworth

I was searching for quotes to do with the beach - didn't like any of those - so I tried searching for quotes using the word sea. This one sounded promising, but I just might have to change the background one of these days. It's not quite the 'walking on the beach' kind of quote I was looking for.

I was born in California, so there's something in my blood - I really love the beach. Unfortunately, I don't get to a beach very often since we live in Southeastern Wisconsin. I really like it here, but no ocean. We go to the beach at a nearby lake in the summertime. No waves but it's pretty nice.

I've been married to my wonderful husband for 21 years (since June 21, 1986). We have two kids, Beth and Cory - teenagers, actually I'm trying hard to figure out where the time has gone. How did they get to be so old? That doesn't make me old, does it? Of course not!

get paid to blog!It seems that I spend most of my time on the computer. I'm usually updating webpages - sometimes I even get paid to do it! Mostly I do a lot of volunteer work meaning I do a lot of work, but don't get paid for any of it. I really do enjoy figuring out how to do the things I want to do, so it's good to have an outlet for that. These days I'm getting paid to blog about various things. It's easy!

Giveaway of the Day

Besides playing on the computer, I also enjoy spending time in the kitchen - and then I plan to organize my recipes and put them all into a web page. I have it started, but there are so many more recipes and so much organization to do.

"God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform. He plants his footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm."
- William Cowper

Another quote searching for the word sea. I really like this one.

I found this entire set of snowflake pictures taken and uploaded by the very talented CaptPiper, and couldn't help but love them. I used this photo "Mother and Child" as the background for my Journal. I tried some others from this set,

but decided I like Mother and Child best. I just thought I'd mention it here because I'm sure the design will change again one of these days - at least come Spring.
