walking, walking shoes, exercise

New Walking Shoes - Week Two

Walked 5 days this week - even though one of those days was sort of rainy.  Actually, it was more like a mist, so my glasses ended up covered and it was hard to see, but it wasn't real wet otherwise.

So, 10 more miles this week, added to last week's 10 makes 20 miles so far.

For some reason the left shoe is hurting my toe.  At first I thought it was because they were laced too tight, but now I think it's part of the shoe pressing down on my toe.  It hurts when we start walking, but by partway into the walk, I don't notice it any more.  I keep forgetting to loosen up the laces, just in case that will help.  Well, I remember, but just as I'm putting the shoes on in the morning, and Jeffrey is ready to go, so I don't have time to mess with them.

Since I got such a good deal on the shoes, if I can't get them to be comfortable, it won't be such a big deal - but imagine if I had paid more.  It's so hard to get good shoes.  Just because they feel good for the couple of minutes you put them on in the store, does not mean they will be comfortable for walking all those miles.  And they need to be comfortable.  Good shoes are important.
